in the heart of Kurtatsch - the oldest inn in the village

The “Schwarz Adler” (Black Eagle) Cellar is in the heart of Kurtatsch, at the Josef Vigil Schweiggl Square and is the oldest Gasthaus (inn) in the place. The inn, with its interesting history, has been operating for centuries. The connection of new and old has been the basic idea during the redevelopment of the house. With the year 2007 the accurate renovation and reorganization of the historical building were concluded.

Today, you are able to enjoy an elevated South Tyrolean cuisine in the historic atmosphere of the carefully renovated halls of the Schwarz Adler.  Specialities of the house are exquisite meat dishes – prepared on our wood-fired oven grill.  In addition, the wine cellars of our restaurant have a number of specialities on offer.  Beside some regional wines, you can also enjoy exquisite national wines in our wine bar and the restaurant.  All wines from our wine cellar can also be purchased in-house.
